Ballot-Gate Was All for Naught
Well it looks like terms limits have finally been approved by voters as was instant run-off voting. That "unnamed County Commissioner" that forced a vote by the SCDP Executive Committee to oppose term limits and then pushed a bogus ballot doesn't look like he/she has much stroke anymore. In fact, it looked desperate and out of touch.
Congratulations to Change Memphis and Yes to 5 for helping educate the electorate and letting the people express their views.

The unnamed commissioner, Sidney Chism, and his servant, Commissioner Deidre Malone, and all of Sidney's other servants tried everything they could to distribute the bogus ballots. Even after the bogus information about opposing all referendums was covered up, they had a stash of several thousand bad ones that they still gave to early voters.
The Herenton/Chism machine has a poor record at the polls, Mayor Herenton notwithstanding. This is one more example of how ineffective they are and hopefully will become weaker and weaker after this episode.
