County Commission Candidates Guest Bloggering on the Democracy for Memphis Blog

From Brad Watkins, organizer of Democracy for Memphis

I want to thank Shelby County Commisson Candidate Del Gill for being
the
first guest host of our blog. Mr Gill has been a long time active
Democrat
in Shelby County and is eager to share his ideas on how Shelby County
can
move ahead. I invite and encourage everyone to check it out and ask
questions. Mr Gill will soon post on our website's news page which you
can
find at this link.

Our future hosts include-
County Commission Candidates Reginald Fentress-Dist 2, Pos 2. and
Steven
Mulroy-Dist 5
It is my hope that this Blog can allow various candidates to connect
with
voters and spark conversation on the issues. Each candidate will be
uncensored and unobstructed in their remarks.

I also wanted to remind everyone of DFM Movie Night this Weds, Feb 22nd
at
Neil's 1835 Madison Ave. This Month we will be hosting a screening of
the
film UNCONSTITUTIONAL, which deals with the dangers to our civil
liberties
posed by the Patriot Act. Also DFM member and County Commission
Candidate
Reginald Fentress will present his plan for a Safe and Free County
Resolution. This action is apart of a nation grassroots effort to
secure the
freedoms provided by the Bill of Rights through local action. This is a
timely and important issue, and I hope everyone who can will attend.
