The Coalition Is Over

Last night, it was stated (not by any DFM member) the coalition formed for the Shelby County Democratic Party restructuring was over. The goal of the coalition was to elect people to the Executive Committee. Now that this has happened, coalition members are free to go on their own.
I'm not on the Executive Committee, but Brad Watkins and David Holt should be elected. They are competent and have great ideas to make the party more merit based and open. Plus, they are willing to work with others. If it's a new day in the Selby County Democratic Party than let in new ideas and people.

The coalition needs to stay together or they will be run over by the Chism people.

that's the only way that DFM is going to be able to get anything done...

Bullshit huh.
Did Brad Watkins or Ted Strom get elected with support from the "coalition." No, because of the MDIA/Chism alliance. You've got to go along to get along in the age of unity. The progressives with vocal ideas were first voted off the island.
